Delete your vContact account

You can delete your active vContact account in the app or on this page. The web flow verifies the phone number on the account before deletion.

Self-serve on the web

Verify the phone number on the account

Enter the verified phone number on the account with country code, for example +919876543210. We will text a verification code before deletion.

JavaScript is required for the self-serve web flow. If you cannot use it, email hello@vcontact.app and include the phone number associated with the account.

In the app

Use the account menu if the app is installed

If you still have the Android app, open the account menu from the home screen and choose Delete account.

What will stop

Your active vContact account will stop working

Deleting your account permanently deletes your profile and photo and stops phone-number discovery.

What may still continue

Previously shared links stop showing your profile

Links, QR codes, or contact cards you shared before will show that your profile is no longer available. Contacts that other people already saved to their own devices stay on those devices unless they remove them.

Signing in again later

Signing in again reconnects your account

Your verified phone number stays on the account so you can come back anytime. Sign in again with the same number and your account is recovered — the people already synced with you reconnect as you set up your new profile. Your old profile content was deleted, so you start fresh.
